Risk Factors
Risk factors are experiences or pressures; biological, psychological, family, community, or cultural levels that can increase the likelihood of mental health challenges. They do not cause mental health issues on their own, but they can make things feel more overwhelming over time. For our campaign, we focus on lack of confidence as a key risk factor, as it can affect how students see themselves and approach challenges, over time contributing to stress, isolation and difficulty trusting one's own abilities.

Protective Factors
Protective factors are actions, habits, and supports that help strengthen mental well-being and build resilience. They do not remove challenges, but they can make it easier to cope, grow, and stay grounded during difficult moments. Our protective factors focus on building confidence through realistic growth, self-support, healthy routines, meaningful activities, and strong connections with others.
